Greg Koeppen founded Medleys In Motion in October 1996 and has continued to expand the business. With attention to detail Greg is a confident and articulate master of ceremonies who knows how to make your event fun and classy or wild and crazy!

Greg has an extensive background in radio broadcasting working for WXLC 102.3FM/WKRS 1220AM radio station for three years as an on-air personality and news reporter. Greg continues to produce commercials for several clients on Q101, Mix 101.9FM, US 99.5FM, 95.1FM WIIL, 720AM WGN and Magic 104.3FM. He has also worked for several small and large disc jockey companies.

Greg served as the master of ceremonies for several local events including the Village of Wheeling Centennial Gala Celebration, Familyfest, Summerfest, the Chris Zorich 5K Run/Walk, and Grayslake Summer Days just to mention a few.

Greg was elected Alderman (at age 19) in the City of Prospect Heights serving from April 1995 - May 2003 making him the youngest elected official in Illinois.  He received his B.A. in marketing communications/government administration from Columbia College, Chicago and has been employed by the Lake County Farm Bureau serving as their Executive Director.  He has been with the Farm Bureau since graduating college in 1998. Greg also serves as Vice Chairman of the Lake County, IL Zoning Board of Appeals appointed by the County Board.

In his free time, Greg serves on several boards including the Illinois State Police DUI Task Force, Illinois State Board of Education Technology Coalition and as President of the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce.  He also enjoys golfing, investing in real estate and organizing charity events. 

As you will see our full-time DJ's are all over 6 ft tall too!  Greg checks-in at a height of 6'4"!

Steve joined Medleys In Motion in 1998. Steve’s entertainment background began in high school as a member of the band. His personality evokes fun during events and his musical background compliments our team. 

An excellent DJ/emcee, Steve understands a crowds musical interests and breaks the ice early at any event!  A crowd favorite, clients are always happy to have Steve as their DJ!

Steve has been the emcee for several local events including the Grayslake Fire Department awards dinner, Taste of Wheeling Fest, Chris Zorich 5K Run and Grayslake Summer Days just to mention a few.

Steve is a 1997 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University with a B.A. in business administration/risk management and a minor in marketing. Steve is currently employed by the Village of Mt. Prospect as a Firefighter and works part-time with COUNTRY Insurance & Financial Services in Grayslake. In his free time, Steve enjoys golfing and line dancing.

Mike May, Entertainer

Mike May joined the Medleys In Motion team in 2006.  While his entrance into the entertainment business has been recent, his technical skills, keen sense of song selection and outstanding communications skills are a great asset to the Medleys In Motion family.  A charming easy-going personality makes Mike a popular DJ at any event.

Mike has entertained fest-goers at the annual Grayslake Summer Days and Grayslake Winterfest.  In addition, Mike’s energetic yet professional personality has helped set the tone for many weddings in Chicago and Lake Geneva.

Mike is a 2004 graduate of the University of Notre Dame (he is by far the smartest DJ we have!) where he majored in Pre-Med and Political Science.  Upon graduation, Mike came to Grayslake as Aquatic Director of the Esper A. Petersen Foundation Family Aquatic Center.  In 2005 Mike was hired by the Village of Grayslake were he is currently employed as a Management Assistant.  In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with family and friends.

We welcome Mike May as the newest (and smartest) Medleys In Motion DJ!  In addition Mike ties with DJ Slobe as one of the shortest DJ’s at a height of 6’3”!

Mike has been with Medleys In Motion since 2005.  He brings a great deal of musical knowledge with him!  Mike enjoys spending time with his family and giving back to the community he lives and works in.  At 6'5", Mike is by far the tallest DJ we have!

Paul Zangara, Part-time Entertainer

Paul joined Medleys In Motion in 1998. He has a strong music background working as both a mobile disc jockey and club disc jockey since 1996. Paul has also taught line dancing at several local venues.

Paul has been the master of ceremonies for several local talent shows and the Chris Zorich 5K Run/Walk.

Paul received his B.A. in architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1998 and is currently employed by Affinity Corporation as an architect. In his free time, Paul coaches youth baseball at the park district level and also coaches players at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
