October marked the 12-year anniversary for Medleys In
Motion Mobile Disc Jockey Service in Grayslake.
What
began as a request from a friend to play a few CD’s during an
informal Halloween party, has catapulted Medleys In Motion making
them “Chicagolands Premier Mobile Entertainment Service.”
“I
never dreamed one event in October 1996 would lead to the success we
have experienced in the entertainment industry,” says Gregory
Koeppen, Owner.
To
date, Medleys has had the fortune of playing in the Chicagoland area
and five surrounding states over the past 12-years. The company was
also named “Mobile DJ Business Of The Year” by Chicago NiteLife
Magazine in 2004.
“We
consider ourselves on the cutting edge of new technology in the
music industry and pride ourselves on having some of the most modern
sound equipment in the industry,” adds Koeppen.
Whether a backyard party for 20, a wedding for 300, or a corporate
event for 2,000, Medleys In Motion provides the talent, equipment
and professional experience to make any event memorable and
successful.
Koeppen contributes the success of the business, in large part, to
the many friends and family members who have helped make the company
a recognized and trusted name in the Chicago area entertainment
market.
“My
mom came up with the business name 12-years ago and would iron my
tuxedo shirts before every gig back then,” jokes Koeppen. “With the
success of the business I have allowed mom to retire from the
ironing board and let the local dry cleaners handle my shirts now,”
adds Koeppen.
“I
would be remiss if I didn't thank those individuals who have served
as DJ's during the past 11-years. Whether it was only one event or
100 events, their support and talents have helped this business
grow,” says Koeppen.

thousands of weddings, anniversaries, commitment ceremonies and
corporate events. Working for big name clients including Sony,
United Airlines, Disney, Culligan, The Chicago Bear, Kohl’s, York
International, The Walgreen’s Family, and the Chicago Gay Pride
Parade, Medleys In Motion has
never lost touch with why people continually look to them for
entertainment. Fun and professional sum it up!
Medleys In Motion also prides themselves on community and charity
involvement donating many hours of entertainment to help fight
cancer, homelessness, AIDS and heart disease. The company was
spotlighted on WGN Channel 9 News in 2005 and named “Unsung
Hero’s” for the many hours of charity entertainment they perform
each year.
As
Medleys celebrates a 12-years of success, they look forward to many
more years of quality entertainment.
“We’ve
been in business for the past 12-years by no accident and we will
continue to strive to reach and surpass the expectations of our
clients during the next decade and beyond,” says Koeppen.
Koeppen also works full-time as the Manager of the Lake County Farm
Bureau and serves on the Lake County Zoning Board of Appeals and is
President of the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce of which
Medleys In Motion is an active member.
